Nothing you are about to see is real. Except for the story. A man, forced into an unlikely and unfortunate situation, and the events that followed. Created using a blend of live-action style interview setup alongside animated recreations. DISCLAIMER: Somewhat graphic animated content at times.

Created using a blend of live-action style interview setup alongside animated recreations. DISCLAIMER: Somewhat graphic animated content at times. A bit of background regarding the project: I’ve been messing around with AI quite a bit the last few months, and what started as a proof of concept for a documentary idea I had, turned into a full on AI production and my first ever fully AI piece of content. And honestly, if it wasn’t for AI, well, I would have never been able to tell this story. After giving it some thought and discussion, it was decided out of respect for the identities of those involved (and their families and friends) it would be better if the story was told more as a ‘based on a true story’ approach… and from there on everything was created with AI. I wish I could say it was ’easy’ and took hardly any effort, but the workflow and stack of tools (AI and ‘analogue’) was quite substantial in the end (with each playing a pivotal role) - Midjourney, Nano Banana Pro, Claude, GPTImage 2, SeeDance 2.5, ElevenLabs, Topaz, Notion, a lil’ Photoshop, some Audacity, and a sprinkle of Davinci Resolve… and eventually it all came together. Is it perfect? No. Is it AI? Yeah. Would it have been better with a real person in front of the lens and a crew behind it? Along with an actual professional animation artist(s)? Most likely. Long story short though- I learnt a lot from this lil’ film. Cliché as it sounds- crazy how far and how quickly all these possibilities for creating and telling stories has come. Though admittedly it all could possibly put me out of a job one day (funny/not funny), it’s fascinating and scary to see where all this is heading… And if the robots don’t get me first, I’m actually excited to try tell more stories blending both worlds.
