In a desolate, snow-covered wasteland of bare trees, a tall skeletal automaton disconnects a small robot child from a mysterious obelisk and leads it across the frozen landscape. Rendered in muted, gritty tones with sparse ambient sound, their quiet journey is suddenly interrupted when armed soldiers track them through a sniper scope.
