World War 2 - like it was filmed today

A fast-paced, vivid crash course on the war that shaped our world. Told by the leaders who lived it. Made for people who scroll past the black-and-white past. A 2014 survey found that a quarter of American adults don't know D-Day happened during World War II, and more than half don't know Franklin Roosevelt was president at the time. A 2020 survey found that nearly half of American Millennials and Gen Z can't name a single Nazi concentration camp. In Britain, a 2018 survey found only two in five schoolchildren knew the Battle of Britain was fought in the air, and a 2015 survey found over half of 18–25-year-olds didn't know what VE Day commemorates. This year, I read an article from a teacher who had students who didn't know who Hitler was. As a history teacher for the last 24 years, that shook me. That's why I made Never Forget. All front pages shown are reproductions of original wartime newspapers. Voices include historical archival audio from Churchill, Roosevelt, Chamberlain, Eisenhower, Oppenheimer, and Truman. Black and white photos and 8mm film scans have been brought to life using the best AI tools available today. No synthetic voices were created. All voices are original archival audio. Note on the famous Casablanca meeting in late January 1943: It has been documented that Roosevelt and Churchill during that meeting formally congratulated the Russians with their tenacity in Stalingrad and also had a disagreement about how to bomb Germany in 1943. While the Americans favored daylight strategic bombing, the English favored carpet bombing by night. Since no audio recordings have been made from this meeting, quotes from Roosevelt’s recorded State of The Union address a couple of weeks earlier and a quote from Churchill’s Whirwind-speech later have been carefully inserted to highlight this for narrative purposes.
