When The Giant Spoke | Dystopian Sci-Fi AI Short Film

Every year, Captain Kaio sails the Goldseam salvage ship back to the same stretch of sea. He never says why. His crew stopped asking a long time ago. This time the White Order is waiting for him. They want Ryn, the strange android who works the deep-water sonar on Kaio's ship, and they're not leaving without it. Then a storm rolls in, and something walks out of it. This one is quieter than the others. Less fighting, more listening. I wanted to make a short film about grief that still felt like sci-fi: a giant robot, a ship in a storm, two machines that understand something the humans can't. So here's my question for you: now that the search is over, what do you think Ryn is to Kaio? — Written, cut, graded and mixed by me, one clip at a time, in DaVinci Resolve. Every sound you hear under the rain was layered by hand. Each Quiet Giants film stands on its own. Same world, same giants, different corners of it.
