Trespasser | AI Short Film | Higgsfield Global Film Festival
13+ for the combined effect of thematic elements (death, mental health)
Trespasser - a debut film from Studio Union - grew from a question: what does it feel like to be called toward something you cannot name? It's lineage is the portals between worlds in C.S. Lewis's Narnia - Jodorowsky's art as ritual, healing, confrontation - the insistence in David Attenborough's work that landscape is not only scenery but a witness to the brutal forces of destruction and rebirth.

Our process began through stream-of-consciousness ideation and visual vignettes. As the visual world materialised in the abstract, a through line became visible, undeniable. With a filmmaking lens, our story structure emerged and continued to reveal itself as the story evolved, motivated by tension in the sound design and the desolate expanse of the setting. What began as a classic hero’s journey evolved from the literal into something deeper through contemplation of Jungian concepts. Trespasser takes place within the ancient neolithic landscape of the Scottish Hebrides. A woman. A threshold. Something waiting on the other side. Surrealist imagery as the vehicle for poetic allegory - visceral at first - before being taken by a growing awareness of the experience and revealing it's depth. Built in the embrace and creative flexibility of the most powerful storytelling tool ever made. @HiggsfieldAI Writer and Director // Zanita Whittington Co-Creator and Technical Director // Gabriel Tick
